Footscray Weg Posters

Bill Green, also known as WEG, has produced hundreds of footy posters, featuring the VFL/AFL Premiership side, this being released on the Monday after the Grand Final.

his very first drawing was the 1954 Footscray Premiership poster, as featured above, and to this day, has made one up for each Premier.

Weg has also gone back & made up older copies, to make up for the older teams, also made second poster featuring one of the players, thus releasing the Jack Collins '54 poster.

He has also released certain few Night Premiers, featuring the 1963 Night Premiers "Footscray" which feature Ruckman John Schultz.

Back in 2004, Weg drew up a special collectable poster featuring Charlie Sutton holding up the Premiership Cup, and the day featured most living players being presented the cup before the Bulldogs v Melbourne game, posters were $2 each on the day.

Bill has now covered all Brownlow Medallists with his magic, and feature 9 Footscray Brownlow Medallists, they include Allan Hopkins, Peter Box, Norm Ware, John Schultz, Gary Dempsey, Kelvin Templeton, Brad Hardie, Tony Liberatore & Scott Wynd, perhaps he should also make one up for Chris Grant who polled the most votes in 1997.

The 1965 Mobil series a collection of photo's with signatures, 40 were produced with 3 Footscray players, all pictured, along with the back of Dave Darcy's card.
